Food of Austin, Part 1
While in Austin, I spent a lot of time sampling all the city had to offer in the way of food. This first batch of photos covers one day’s worth of meals.
The first stop of the afternoon was at Hole in the Wall, a dive bar just across the street from the University of Texas-Austin campus. This chorizo taco was pretty spicy and very tasty.

Amy’s Ice Cream – some variation of chocolate that I can’t recall.

Dinner that night was at Threadgill’s. Decent food but hardly memorable. To start it off were some appetizers – fried green tomatoes and fried pickles.

A cross-section of the two appetizers.

Chicken-fried steak with collard greens and red beans.

Salisbury steak with collard greens and rice.
