About

Overview

I am Gary Wong – my site URL, wonggawei.com spells out my Chinese name. I’m a guy on the wrong side of 25, living in the hippest, happening place in all the land – New York City. I was born there, raised there, and, with the exception of a brief affair with Binghamton, NY, have stayed true to my love for New York City. I am currently a freelance web content producer as well as a blogger on a number of sites. In addition, I also take photos – a lot of photos.

What?

I love to read – books, Sunday New York Times, you name it. I am also a huge movie buff, a television junkie, and an avid music lover. My biggest passion, however, lies in sports whether it be baseball (Mets), football (Giants), basketball (Knicks), or college basketball (Big East) – the pleasure I derive from attending or watching a sporting event is unmeasurable. There are also lots of little things that I like but can’t seem to recall – oh well.

Where?

I’ve lived in New York City’s Chinatown, Brooklyn’s Gravesend, and Binghamton, NY. I currently reside in a rent-controlled one bedroom apartment in Astoria, Queens.

When?

Umm… now?

Why?

I’ve always had some sort of presence online from my first web site created for a Binghamton University engineering class to several iterations on free web servers – Geocities, Tripod, ughh… – to what you see now. Having a web site allows me to put up a lot of the pictures I take so I can share it with friends, family, and complete strangers.
