Hanging around Stuyvesant High School
Some photos from my senior year of high school. All but one were taken from inside of Stuy – on the second (senior) floor if I recall correctly.

Trappist Tasting @ Justin’s Apt
During a stop on our trip to Philly, Justin and Aaron bought a few beers from Westvleteren. Since a princely sum was paid for the two beers, the question of when and how to sample their purchases was broached. Ultimately, they thought that a thorough Trappist tasting would be the way to go. That’s what we found ourselves doing at Justin’s apartment the night before New Year’s Eve.

Visiting Boston-area colleges
It’s never been a secret that I have a special affinity for the city of Boston. Back in my senior year of high school, I went on a school trip there to visit some colleges. Too bad I wouldn’t get into any of them – not that I could really be blamed for not getting into M.I.T., right? Anywhere, here are some photos of a bunch of us goofing off during this trip.

Linda’s Christmas Eve Dinner
On the night before Christmas, we stuffed our faces with a great dinner prepared by Linda.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Ballon Inflation, Part 3
Concluding the set of photos from the ballon inflation, we start with a pokeball…

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Ballon Inflation, Part 1
Though I’ve vowed to never go to the actual parade again if it can be helped, that doesn’t apply to watching the balloons get inflated the night before the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. It’s a lot more fun and a heck of a lot less crowded even if this year’s turnout was higher than usual. I wouldn’t be surprised if this year’s attendance – if they keep track of it – was a record number. The surge in attendants can be attributed to a perfect storm of purely independent events – the weather was perfect with clear skies and a temperature in the 50s combined with cancelled Broadway matinees due to the stagehands’ strike brought out a large number of people. As crowded as it was, it was still worth checking out.
