New Belgium Brewing Company
While out in Denver, we took a trip out to Fort Collins to visit a brewery that is quickly becoming one of my favorite American breweries – New Belgium. These guys make some great and imaginative beers and, a plus, they’re really into bikes.
Great American Beer Fest
Back in October, I went with Aaron, Gordon, and Justin to Denver to attend every beer fan’s personal mecca – the Great American Beer Fest.
NYC Summer Streets
For three Saturdays in August, New York City closed down Park Avenue and connecting streets from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park to allow everyone to enjoy a walk in the street without those annoying cars in the way. The initiative was successful such that they’ll bring it back next year in an expanded format that may even find its way to the outer boroughs.
Ars Technica & Gizmodo WWDC Party
When I was in San Francisco for WWDC, I never thought that the entire week would turn out to be one long party. After the first full day of sessions, Ars Technica and Gizmodo threw an open bar party in the SoMa neighborhood.
Wollman Rink
After watching the New York City Marathon wind its way into Central Park, I walked over to Wollman Rink to watch the skaters.
CB Six
And now, dear readers, a moment of silence for the dearly departed CB Six – a fine establishment for craft beer in midtown Manhattan that was dumb enough to lose their liquor license by serving minors.
