AT&T Park, Part 3
While the Giants finish up batting practice, the Diamondbacks make their way out to do some stretching.

AT&T Park, Part 2
After a short walk around the grounds outside the stadium, I finally make my way inside AT&T Park.

AT&T Park, Part 1
While out in San Francisco, I did what any baseball fan would do – I took in a game at the absolutely beautiful Pacific Bell SBC AT&T Park. While the name may have changed several times (a common occurrence given the nature of corporate naming rights), the stadium has stayed the same.

Ferry Plaza Farmers Market
On the morning of my ill-fated flight back to New York, I walked a few steps from my hotel on the Embarcadero to the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Despite it being an early Saturday morning – yes, eight o’clock in the morning is early – there were a lot of shoppers.

Haight-Ashbury Street Fair
On the second Sunday of June every year, San Francisco’s infamously hippie Haight Street is host to the Haight-Ashbury Street Fair. While it may claim to celebrate all things hippie and counter-culture, it’s a lot more generic street fair these days. Still, the unmistakable whiff of marijuana was prevalent so I guess that’s good enough.

WWDC Bash, Part 2
The crowd at the WWDC Bash gather in front of the stage as they await the mystery band.

WWDC Bash, Part 1
Every year at WWDC, Apple throws a bash on the final night to close out the festivities. When WWDC moved to San Francisco, conference attendees would be bussed to Cupertino and the bash would be held on Apple’s campus. With the explosion in attendees the past few years, the bash was moved to San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Gardens. As much as I would like to have visited the campus (the motherland), I’m fine with not having to take an hour-long bus ride.

New York City Waterfalls
The New York City Waterfalls is a public art installation comprised of four man-made waterfalls along the East River.
This waterfall is the one you really need a telephoto lens or a boat to see – it’s situated at Governors Island.

Speakeasy Ales & Lagers Happy Hour
On my last day in San Francisco for WWDC, I stopped off at Speakeasy Ales & Lagers for a tour and some beer before the night’s Giants game.

WWDC 2008
Back in June, I attended Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Yes, I was there to see Steve Jobs unveil the latest iteration – as well as the latest drain on the wallet – of the iPhone. Beyond the press-oriented keynote speech, it was very much catered to the developers community. Some sessions were good but some just left me a bit lost since my developer background isn’t so deep. Perhaps a return trip next year will see some improvement on my end?
