Post archive for ‘Thoughts’
9/11, Five Years Later
In the five years since 11.09.2001, I don’t believe I’ve ever written a post on the subject. It’s not as if I have a particular aversion to talking about it; I just never felt any need to do so.
I still don’t feel any compulsion to talk about it but I will anyway because
- it’s been five years and it seems like a good time as any to do so,
- I’ve got accompanying photos so it won’t be all talk, and
- as each year passes, I’m more likely to forget details about the day so it’s best to get it recorded for the sake of remembrance.

Summer ‘06 draws to a close
As I sit at my computer on this Labor Day weekend, on this unofficial end of summer, I’m going to break from routine and actually write a post that’s heavy on words and light on photos. Not since my college days has a summer gone by so fast – and those summers went fast. I’ve never been so busy, out so often, and over-extended so much but, in the end, it was all worth it. This summer may have just flown by but it only feels that way because I’ve never had so much fun in three-plus months period of time.
