Russian River Brewing Company
Checking off another location on the Beer Advocate Top 50 list, we visit Russian River on a Sunday morning. Yes, I said Sunday morning. What, is there something wrong with drinking beers from a little after 11am to nearly 6pm?

Toronado
My first stop in San Francisco was a bar on the Beer Advocate Top 50 list – Toronado.

The Grey Lodge Pub
Our final stop in Philadelphia came on the second morning of our trip at The Grey Lodge Pub. Sure, we got there at 11am for brunch and you may think that’s too early for a beer. Well, it probably was but that certainly didn’t deter us from our goal of having a beer at each place.

Ludwig’s Garten and Monk’s Café
After we finished our one beer at Tria, we got out of there as fast as we could so we get some food at Ludwig’s Garten. We must have been tired because we barely finished our food – some, not at all – and had difficulty killing our beers. But, god damn, do I love me some schnitzel.

Tria
Having made our way into Philly, the next bar on our list was Tria. Located in downtown Philadelphia, it’s a long but narrow space with a too many people crammed into a confined area. The atmosphere was a little too highbrow for my tastes but it did have a few decent beers on tap.

The Drafting Room Taproom and Grille
Our first stop of the weekend on the Beer Advocate Top 50 list – The Drafting Room Taproom Grille in Exton, just outside of Philadelphia. This was my favorite stop of the weekend as far as places on the list went. The only drawback was the smoking in the taproom but, as this is not New York City, there wasn’t really anything that could be done to prevent that.

Southampton Publick House
Continuing our quest to visit all of Beer Advocate’s Top 50 Places to Have a Beer in America, we made our way to the eastern tip of New York state to have a few beers (and a meal) at the Southampton Publick House.

Williamsburg Bar Crawl
In May of last year, Beer Advocate put out a list of the Top 50 Places to Have a Beer in America. Big fans of the Beer Advocate site they are, Aaron and Justin devoured the list and came up with one of the greatest ideas I have ever heard – to attempt to go to every single place on the list. Sometime in late October, they, along with Jeremy and myself, began to tally places off the list by starting off in Williamsburg.
