Applewood Brewing Weekend, Part 1
A few weekends ago, a bunch of us got together at Applewood Estate and brewed a couple of beers to be ready for this year’s Hunka Hunka.
This is just a sampling of all the equipment needed to brew the beers.

It’s our last day in Oneida as we’ve got until 11am to clear the hell out. Some of us were ready to go and some, well, not so much.
Extreme Beer Fest – Night of the Barrels
This past weekend, I went with a couple of friends to Beer Advocate’s Extreme Beer Fest. We attended two sessions – the photos in this post are from the first session. By the time Jess took this photo of us with Jim Koch (center), the founder of the Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams), we’d all had quite a bit to drink. It appeared that Jim had more than we had – at the very least, he was definitely further gone than we were. Who cares – it’s Jim fuckin’ Koch!

More photos from the end of my freshman year of college. This was from the last night before we had to clear out of the dorms. After we finished packing for the evening, we walked over to Denny’s for some food and strawberry Sprites.
End of Freshman Year at Binghamton, Part 1
Armed with a few disposable cameras, I spent the last few days of my freshman year at Binghamton University snapping a few photos of friends. All of the photos in this batch were taken from the fourth floor of Oneida Hall where I resided that year.
Trappist Tasting @ Justin’s Apt
During a stop on our trip to Philly, Justin and Aaron bought a few beers from Westvleteren. Since a princely sum was paid for the two beers, the question of when and how to sample their purchases was broached. Ultimately, they thought that a thorough Trappist tasting would be the way to go. That’s what we found ourselves doing at Justin’s apartment the night before New Year’s Eve.
Applewood Estate Holiday Feast
Last week, the boys up in Applewood, with assistance from a cast of many, threw a holiday feast. There was plenty of food to feast on but the most important thing was sharing a meal in the company of friends. Oh, who the hell am I kidding – I was there for the turkey!
