Avec, Part 2
After my wonderful meal, I took a few photos of the chefs and staff at work behind the counter.

Avec, Part 1
In Chicago for a few days (because I can), I went to Paul Kahan’s Avec on the Near West Side for an absolutely awesome meal – well, a light meal since I was a little full from lunch when I walked in. A pity, really, since there were so many things that looked like they would be worth trying. Ah well, next time!

Dinner @ Fette Sau
A few weeks back, Susan and I went to Fette Sau, the BBQ joint from the folks at Spuyten Duyvil, to celebrate the three-year anniversary of Sixpoint Craft Ales.

Dinner @ Momofuku
A few weeks back, Susan and I had dinner at Momofuku Noodle Bar. Chef David Chang is one awesome ramen artist.

Dinner @ Peniche
A couple of weeks ago, a bunch of Binghamton folks got together for dinner at Peniche, a fairly new Tapas place in White Plains.

Dinner @ Perilla
Not having seen the first season of Top Chef, I didn’t know much about Harold Deiterle’s performance on the show. All I’d seen of his cooking was in the Season 1 vs. Season 2 challenge, which is to say, not very much at all. This past summer, he opened up his own restaurant – though, technically, he co-owns the place – Perilla. Finally able to get a reservation, I went with a few friends for dinner last week.

Dinner @ Agozar
I had dinner with Susan and Cee last Friday at Agozar, a LES (I guess?) Cuban place. The food was good but the best part was 2 for 1 drinks until 8 – not to say I’m a lush but, man, does that hit the spot after a week at work.

Dinner @ Grace
Grace has a great atmosphere and pretty good food. Most importantly, they place a decent mix of music – James Blunt being the exception.
